Yoga for Runners

Then Yoga for Runners is a perfect workshop for you.  You will learn about the benefits yoga offers runners including:

  • Stretching – with a focus on lengthening lower back, hamstrings, hips and shoulders
  • Strengthening – upper and lower body strength postures
  • Balance – for focus and strength
  • Breathing – bring more air into your lungs allowing for cardiovascular performance
  • Awareness – knowing when your body needs a break

Strength and flexibility are critical components to a runner’s training routine and they are often overlooked. In this 2 hour workshop you will learn a variety of exercises to help stretch and strengthen the muscles most used by runners in order to improve running performance and decrease risk of injury. This workshop is a perfect “day off” or post-run activity!  No previous yoga experience required.
