Hillary - knowing what you want and taking one step at a time is a great way to be. Much luck with everything, I know there's a lot going on.

Karl - Ha! We are stuck in the same trap :-) One step at a time, enjoying each moment....

I know that I've wanted my business to grow faster than it has. I wanted to be 2 years ahead of where I am. I know this is foolish, but month after month I fall into this trap. I'm finally stopping this cyclical torture and enjoying where I am and making short strides to becoming more successful.

Hi Stacey .. I'm sorting my life out at the moment and doing one thing at a time - and I know what I want to do in the future - yes I have to work it through & find the paths .. but for now - it is the moment, so I can concentrate on those goals and dreams without worrying about everything else.

I've been worrying about my mother and uncle for over three years .. now as we move towards Mum's end .. I need to get my life in order, so I have that future ready to move to .. even my mother said 'clever girl' yesterday to me when I nodded and said I'd got my life planned once she'd gone .. she can't hear - but I guess she was thinking along those lines! So it is live in the moment now - with myself and my Ma .. as I prepare for the coming years & have something stimulating, interesting and educating to take along with me - to inspire me & allow me to carry on dreaming into my dotage!?! It absolutely is liberating ..

Have a good weekend ... HIlary

Hi Evita - I like how you put it "dreams can become nightmares"...very true!

Megan - Interesting! compromise on how it comes true...definitely something to think about!

Positively Present - Absolutely, it's so easy to get caught up in the future. That's how society is these days - always looking ahead!

Lance - Nailed it! Yes, starting is the key. Must take the first step!

Stacey,
So...is my vision of YOU at some honkey-tonk bar just a little off???? (or did I nail it!!) Hmmm.... (why am I sure I know the answer to that one!!!!)

So, those dreams floating around in our hearts...they can sometimes overwhelm us, too. Taking the baby steps, though...good stuff. Because, it's in those baby steps that we DO, we BEGIN, we START. And sometimes that can be the biggest hurdle of all - taking those first steps.

Stacey, I love the dream you have, and know that you can make a real difference in the lives of others through your caring and love. Let that dream live....one baby step at a time...

Stacey, I definitely catch myself not enjoying the steps along the way sometimes, but that's why I'm striving to live in the moment. It can be hard to balance having a future goal and living in the present, but it's possible to do both. I believe dreaming is so important, but we can't lose sight of the now while we're doing it.

This is exactly what the TUT Note from the Universe was for today --- great timing! (Must be something in the air!) It said never to compromise on a dream, but by all means, compromise on "how" it comes true.

Hi Stacey

Completely! It is that future type of thinking that is so characteristic of the ego that pushes us too far out, too quickly - only to come reeling back usually to a state of some form of emptiness or unhappiness. When in reality there is only the now, and in the now what is, is.

While this does not have to stop us from dreaming, sometimes dreams can become nightmares, if we don't realize that where we are right now is a special and perfect place to be along the journey.

So I so agree with what you are saying and have felt it myself before too if I let that future moment carry me away. Like you, I remind myself if things every get too "out there" that it is all about the journey. We can keep a dream in mind, but realize that what we do today, in this moment right now, is the most significant part of making that dream come true.
