Sounds like my type of massage experience. I'm a big fan of massages, but don't have the time or money right now. I practice Yoga which helps me keep stress and tension at bay. But when the time is right, I'm going to find someone like Jaime to help me reduce my tension.

Leanna - my fear is if I switch to 90 minutes, will that be enough??? 90 minutes does sound glorious!

Hilary - I haven't heard of that technique - thank you for sharing it, I will look it up to learn more. As for Jaime heading to England - I'm sure she would for the right price!

Megan - Massage has been a therapeutic life saver for me - from shoulder issues to plantar fasciatis, it has helped so many ailments from years of poor posture, running and the like.

Evita - We do forget about these resources, as we live in a society quick to head to the doctor's office first! Our bodies can heal themselves a lot of the time (not all the time) without needing a pill.

Hi Stacey

How wonderful of you to profile someone in your community like this, and at the same time get readers to think about massage therapy itself.

I have to tell you, I started going this past fall for massage therapy, and my goodness is it ever wonderful. I think I am going now on average every 2 weeks for 1 hour and just loving it. I highly recommend it too for anyone who stands all day on their feet, or sits all day at a desk.

So often we forget about resources like this that we have to help us take better care of ourselves and at the same time, support these wonderful men and women who chose these careers to help others.

Massage is such a beautiful practice, and I feel blessed to have an incredible therapist in my town who sounds a lot like Jamie. She is therapeutic in her approach, but also understands the metaphysical side of "why" pain shows up in our bodies. She's a Reiki master, and combining her massage, energy work, and orthopedic training, gives me incredibly healing massages every time I see her.

Massage is definitely part of living and being well, and I recommend it to anyone who is serious about their health.

Awesome post, Stacey, and awesome new rating system!

Hi Stacey .. sounds wonderful ... does she do Eastbourne in England?!

I wondered if either of have heard of 'Butterfly Massage Technique' which I've been using through a trained healer (Janice is also a nurse, learning to be a yoga instructor, and does Reiki) on my mother (89 & 3 strokes - 3 years ago). My mother thinks that Janice is the best thing since sliced bread - she's been wonderful.

For any one seriously ill, who needs relief, Butterfly Massage is well worth looking out for - Janice learnt it in the States. It's very light touch .. wonderful - and I am so lucky to have found her for my Ma - she's spiritual too - and has been a complete blessing to have around for over 2.25 years (long time!). She's brilliant and loves Mum and Mum loves her.

If Ihad massage - I'd book 24 hours ... ??!! Enjoy your Valentine weekends .. from across the pond .. Hilary

She sounds amazing! I recently switched from 60 minute to 90 minute massages because I kept leaving wanting more. It finally dawned on me to schedule a 90 minute massage!
