Did you know cardiovascular disease kills over 432,000 women each year — about one every minute? (from GoRedForWomen.org)
Did you also know this #1 killer of women is largely preventable through a variety of healthy habits including regular exercise, healthy eating and even taking time to relax and unwind?
This past fall I worked with my local chapter of the American Heart Association to film a public service announcement (PSA) about women, heart disease and the AHA Go Red For Women campaign. I’m so excited to share it with you! Will you pause for 2 minutes to watch this extremely important message?
And now I’m asking for your help. Sharing this information of heart health is part of my mission and the foundation for “feel-good living”. I believe everything starts with the heart and flows out. But I am just one person! Will you help spread this important message by forwarding the video to friends, family and colleagues? Living healthy is a right we all have. Together we can support one another to live healthy, satisfied, “feel-good” lives. Will you start by speaking up?
In honor of American Heart Month (February) I’ll dedicate more time this month to promoting heart health focusing on time and cost effective ways to bring healthy living into your daily routine.
Learn more about AHA and Go Red For Women (both sites contain FREE programs, services, events):
This Friday, February 5 is “National Wear Red for Women” day. I’ll be wearing red, will you?
How are you keeping your heart healthy?

Awesome PSA and wow, I love seeing your title up there on the screen “Wellness Expert.” Indeed you are!
I will share this; thank you for helping spread the message.
Here’s to healthy hearts!
Hi Stacey
Great message. I am celebrating American Heart Month on EvolvingWellness.com too
And so I will be more than happy to help spread the message you talked about here. Most importantly I am called forth too to tell as many people as I can that heart disease for the most part is totally preventable! We just have to incorporate heart-healthy habits.
My mother recently had a virus attack her heart. She was down to 5%. They weren’t sure if she would recover. She did and is back to running circles around women 20 years younger than her.
I’ll have to figure out how I can fit this information in a blog post, but I’ll do it. It’s too important not to.
Hey Stacey,
Great video!!! You ARE a natural in front of the camera!
And what an important message to get out. Living a healthy lifestyle can go a long way toward making a turn for the better… Stacey, someone (well, I’m sure lots and lots of someone’s) will see this video and make a positive change – and that’s what makes what you are doing here so great!!
Beautiful message and great job!
You are making the world a better place…one person at a time.
I’m going red thanks to you!
Hi Everyone! thank you. It is an important message… I appreciate your comments and sharing your stories. Heart disease affects so many and it is one of my goals to help prevent it. Thank you for your support.
Stacey,
Great job! Coming from a family affected by heart disease I have been very conscious of what I need to do. Thanks for reinforcing it. I will share the link with friends and family.
Great video, great job! This is really wonderful and I’m so happy you’re spreading the word. And I’ll do my best to spread it too.
As someone who is also passionate and working in the field of wellness, I (just like you) see on a daily basis just how these small few changes can make a big difference in someone’s life. Though as a nutrition & weight-loss expert I do help people eat better….but it’s more than just about the food. I help them be healthy in ALL aspects of their lives, as it truly is a “lifestyle.”
Thanks Stacey for doing this!
Stacey,
LOVED the PSA … what an important message to get out to the world!! Part of my mission in writing the What if … Workbook is to remind people to live their lives more fully, as our time here on this beautiful planet IS indeed finite. It is so important to take care of our minds, bodies, and spirits … each and every day. You do such a wonderful job promoting this message.
As an added extra, I saw the song was by Sam Chase … he and his twin sister Kelly (if it’s the same Sam Chase) went to middle/high school with my daughter Taryn. Small world!
Also, you look lovely in red!
Nice work! You are a very personable and professional spokesperson. You are in the groove with this work. Go red!
Hi Stacy! This is great – and I would like to feature it on my blog in 2 wks. I’m doing a series of blogs on food additives, GMO’s and in general the crap that is in most of our food, unless you are eating only organic! We sure need to speak up about this! I appreciate any support/help/linking you can add to this.
hugs
suZen
Hi SuZen! Thank you – and sure, that would be great. And I’m happy to help spread the word. I’ll pop over to your blog and check it out!
