Happy New Year, Stacey!
This year I'm going to stay open to being open, how's that?!! Normally, I have set ideas of what I want to accomplish and by when, which maybe makes me a goal-setter's dream, but in reality, it zaps some of the fun and flexibility out of living. I think my New Year's resolution this year is that if it feels good & right, I'll do it. If it doesn't, I'll have to scrutinize and figure out why. If it's just fear getting the best of me, I'll forge ahead. If it's coming from my gut, I'll reconfigure.
Last year was all about learning how to live the "being" versus "doing" mentality. So this year is all about staying open to what "being" means, and feeling my way through life.
I can't wait to hear about all of your successes moving forward!

Leanna - Thank you - I love that you want to get back to your meditation practice. I'm looking forward to sitting more myself. And good luck with the new marketing firm! How exciting.

Karl - Ah, control. It can wreak havoc! I know great things are to come for you this year.

Davina - You sound like a woman after my own heart. I, too, have felt scattered and am looking forward to structure. The unknown is, I've learned, what makes life exciting. Happy New Year to you, too!

Lance - "going for it" is my phrase for 2010 (I have a word, too, but I'll wait until your post!) I can't wait to hear more about "listening to me" and where that takes you. Happy new Year.

Tom - Hello and thank you. Yes, riding that momentum it feels good and I'm very much looking forward to 2010. Best to you and the future Big Link Rally!

Good to see your momentum flowing powerfully. I'm really pumped about creating more deep feeling events like the Big Link Rally. It's all about connection and I'm very pleased to be connected to you and your aspirations.

Stacey,
So, we have rolled into the new year, and I am excited about all the possibilities that lie ahead! In fact, I spent some time focusing on the upcoming year, over this past weekend. Good stuff! And I came out of it, really putting my attention on jumping in and trying out new opportunities. And with that, I am also going to focus more on listening to "me". I guess, what I see is that the possibilities are endless, and then it comes really back to listening to my heart, and what it is saying...and then "going for it".

And Stacey, I am excited for you and for all the possibility you are embracing in your life! Here's to an amazing 2010!!

Hi Stacey.
I'm wide open to possibilities, perched on the edge of life. Lots of uncertainty, but lost of mystery that I'm content to watch unfold. I've been more scattered than I would like over the last few months, so a big part of my "new" world will be adding in some structure and learning to be flexible with it. I tend to either do it all or do nothing. This will be a good exercise of trust and using my intuition. Happy New Year!

It's so much fun to have great plans that will help people improve their lives. I know what you mean by being vulnerable. I feel that I need to be more open to possibilities by not letting my fear dictate my choices. It's not easy because it's easy to try to control everything. But by controlling we limit our possibilities.

It takes practice. Trying, failing, and adjusting and trying again.

Stacey, I love hearing about your plans for 2010!

One of the things I am doing this year is investing in my business by hiring an outside company to essentially become my marketing department. I know that one of the things I need to do to make this successful is to trust them - to trust that they know what they are doing and how to make me successful. Even if something they are suggesting feels uncomfortable to me because it is unfamiliar, I have to resist the urge to say "no, I don't want to do that." That's the whole reason I'm hiring them, to go beyond what I can do for myself.

Interestingly, I'm realizing that one of the things I need to do this year to move forward is get back on my meditation cushion. To that end, I have made sure to have comfortable bolsters and blankets (sitting gets chilly) so I have no excuses not to sit. It helps with the whole "I can feel uncomfortable feelings and just be with them" that I want to cultivate.
