Stacey,
I think the biggest thing for us was my husband losing his job in Arpil. We have so changed our lives since then. To think we could build his own practice to full time work in 8 months is mind blowing. I believe it speaks to what kind of person he is and the quality he brings to his work.

One thing we decided to do back in April was to step up all of our spiritual principles. The results and the changes we've seen in ourselves are nothing short of miracles. Thanks for the reminder of reflecting on 2009 and I'll add to that giving thanks! Happy Holidays.

Reflection is one of my three main principals to what I believe makes a person happy. When we reflect on our lives we get to step back and see the full picture. Sometimes we are just too close to really enjoy it.

I've done a lot of great things, but my greatest is my son. He is my shining star. My second greatest is my blog and the community I've created.

I've also done some lousy stuff. Well, maybe not lousy, but not very good. I'm ready to start making money on my blog. I'm reflecting on how to make it a reality in 2010.

I loved reading this and being prompted to both reflect and plan.
For me, 2009 was a year of healing some really old, deep wounds, as well as transforming myself to live in a good and balanced way. I didn't realize until 2009 how out of balance I'd been. One example is that after suffering with chronic migraines for nearly 20 years, this is the year I cured them --- on my own, without the help of western medicine. I fixed the imbalance in my inner and outer world that had been troubling me since I was young.
In 2010, I plan to be much more engaged in bringing about the changes I sort of only dreamed of this year --- more along the lines of career and love. I do know this: life is very, very good and keeps getting better every day.

I love reflections/reflecting! I think it can bring a lot of peace and clarity to us.

I have not reflected yet on 2009 or set any intentions yet for 2010, hope to do that on my trip at the start of January (decided to go to Grenada :)

Wishing you an amazing Christmas Stacey and all the best for the new year - may it continue to bring you all your intentions and dreams!

Stacey:
There have been many, many changes in 2009 that will shape the way I live my life in 2010. Some of the changes have been challenging to accept but I must say that the comments on your website have always forced me to look deeper inwardly at myself, and for that, I thank you! There has been a lot of "reflection" for me, things I should've done differently and things that I shouldn't have done at all but all of these situations have shaped me to become who I am right now and I know that there's a lot of room for improvement! I'm grateful for what I've learned and am confident that my journey towards enlightenment will only intensify in the upcoming year. I will continue to gather strength from reading your website, so please keep it going! Here's to a successful, healthy, prosperous New Year filled with love and gratitude...

Stacey,
I started 2009 focusing on one word for the year - and that word being courage. And it really has been amazing how this word really manifested itself this year...which is something I have spent some time thinking about. Moments. Moments, big and small, that became turning points into something greater - sometimes right away, sometimes taking a while, and sometimes taking steps backward first. And all of that has been deeply good.

Stacey, I happened to look back at when I wrote about this one word concept, and you commented that your one word focus for 2009 would be freedom (to help others, follow passions, be myself, from fear, and more). I'm curious, on your thoughts as to if you experienced this freedom in any way, and what that has meant.

The new year holds much promise...
