February 1 is National "Wear Red Day" for Heart Disease Awareness

Heart disease is the number 1 health threat for women. This campaign is encourages women to get their heart checked, exercise regularly and eat smart. So if you already left your new year’s resolution behind, February is a perfect time to revisit them!

For more information on events in your area and how you can participate visit the American Heart Association website.

Today is “wear red day”. I plan to support the cause by:

  • Wearing red today (and most days, it’s my favorite color!)
  • I have a routine doctor visit at the end of the month
  • Participating in a large health fair on February 13 at the Prudential Center in Boston, MA. I’ll be exhibiting and speaking on stress management. Learn more by visiting the Sister to Sister website. Women can visit the exhibitor booths, listen to short talks and get free health screenings. It’s free to women and a wonderful educational opportunity.

If you’re in the Boston area and plan to attend, please stop by and say hi.
