Top New Year’s Resolutions in America
Every year millions of Americans make New Year’s resolutions, and only 10% will actually achieve success. Anything in this list sound familiar?
- Spend More Time with Family & Friends
- Improved diet and fitness
- Quit Smoking
- Quit Drinking (alcohol)
- Enjoy Life More
- Get Out of Debt
- Learn Something New
- Help Others
- Get Organized
- Get a new job
Why is it that over and over these are the top resolutions made in America? You’ve heard the benefits of healthy diet and exercise; you’ve heard the dangers of smoking and excessive drinking; and you’ve heard that spending time with loved ones and engaging in activities that you enjoy can have a positive affect on your stress and happiness levels.
What more convincing do you need?
This year I challenge you to think differently about your resolutions. Think about why you make them, and why you aren’t following through. Perhaps even think about never making a resolution again. Instead, incorporate all of these activities into your daily life. Make it consistent; take it with you all year long. Notice how rewarding, and less stressful, that can be.
