2 weeks, 10 lbs and a trip to Florida
I just got back from dinner at a local pub. Our food came out and the server said “Wow, that smells delicious! I’m on a no-carb diet because I’m going to Florida in 2 weeks.”
I looked at her tiny frame and thought to myself “Where are you going to lose the 10 lbs?” She went on to tell us how she sent a text message to a friend who is a personal trainer. The message said something like “how can I lose 10 lbs in two weeks?”
His response: No carbs, no sugars and as much cardio as you possibly can between now and your trip.
I nearly hit the floor. This response from a personal trainer (I am also a certified personal trainer by training). A healthy weight loss per week is 1 to 2 lbs depending on your starting point. Losing 10 lbs in two weeks is quite possible, however, the likelihood of putting it all back on plus some is even more possible (and probable).
If you feel good about your body then you will look great in your bathing suit. If you’re not comfortable in your bathing suit, perhaps it’s time to find one that is more attractive for your body shape. Sexy isn’t only found in a bikini. Sexy is what you make it - it’s how you feel about yourself. It’s confidence, strength and inner power. It’s not the barely there bathing suit that cost you a fortune to begin with.
If you want to look good in a bathing all year long consistency is the key. Exercise, eat well and treat your body and mind in a positive way every day. Not just two weeks before your trip.
