Failing the New Health Report Card

A new women’s health report card is out and the U.S. received an unsatisfactory grade. The report is issued by the National Women’s Law Center and Oregon Health & Science University.

According to the report no U.S. State received a satisfactory mark while 3 states, Massachusetts, Vermont and Minnesota received a “satisfactory minus”.

The benchmarks included: number of women who get an annual dental exam, the percentage of women age 40 and older who get mammograms regularly, and the percentage of women aged 50 and older who get screened for colorectal cancer.
