Toastmasters - New Club in Hanover, Massachusetts

I’ve been a member of Toastmasters for more than 2 years and it has helped me in more ways than I imagined when I first joined. Being a member of Toastmasters has provided me with the following:

  • Improved meeting management skills
  • Improved Leadership Skills (I served as Quincy Toastmasters club president last year)
  • Improved public speaking (for presentations, networking and casual conversation)
  • Increased comfort level when giving and receiving feedback (requires listening skills!)
  • Increased comfort level when engaging in difficult conversations (still challenging and an ongoing process of improvement)

Toastmasters provides a safe, encouraging and motivating environment to improve communication and leadership skills. You will not hurt anyone’s feelings or get fired for making a less than perfect presentation at a Toastmasters meeting! You will only receive feedback for improvement and feedback on what your strengths are.

After more than 2 years with Quincy, I am co-founding a new club in Hanover, Massachusetts.

If you or someone you know lives in the area please join us for an open house on Monday September 24. This is a great opportunity to learn about how Toastmasters can help you become a more effective leader and communicator. The meeting will run from 6 to 7:30 p.m. and will be held at the Rockland Trust building, 2036 Washington St.- third floor. Arrive 15 minutes early since we start at 6:00pm sharp.
