P90X Day 7 - Rest or Stretch

Today was day 7 of P90X and boy was I tired! My body is not as sore anymore, but it’s still tender. I ended up doing part of Yoga X. It’s a 1.5 hour power yoga workout and I just couldn’t take it. I was tired and needed something gentle.

It’s ok, though, I’m listening to my body. I started the yoga workout, and then skipped a lot of it. Who cares! That’s the great thing about DVDs, right?

As a yoga instructor myself, I was curious to experience his instruction. Again, I’m happy. Tony offered variations, modifications, used blocks, and told us it was ok to take breaks and press pause.

What I learned was that we are supposed to now repeat this past week for the next 2 weeks. Phase 1 they call it then we move on to phase 3. I thought we were supposed to go through all 12 workout discs…I’m glad to learn that’s not the case.

I started to look ahead at the exercise videos and they are extreme.

What we didn’t incorporate into week one was the 15 minute Ab Ripper workout. Oops :-)

I guess the ab ripper accompanies the 1 hour workouts. In week 2 I’ll start working on my abs.

Tomorrow we start over - Chest and back, oh yeah, and the ab ripper.
