Daily Indulgence - Take time to daydream
When you were a kid you probably spent most of your time daydreaming. As an adult we may daydream, but these days our minds wander to laundry, cooking dinner, picking up the kids, and work.
What if you took just a few minutes a week (or day if you have the time) and let your mind wonder to things that make you happy. What would be in your daydreams? Let the mind go, don’t force it in one direction or another. Just sit quietly and see where your thoughts go. If they go to laundry, stay with it…as you relax, the laundry will disappear and in front of you will be a beautiful scene to make you smile.
When you’re done, write down what you saw so you always have it to remember. There is no reason why your day dream can’t be your reality.
When I close my eyes I ALWAYS end up on the beach in a beautiful house on a hill with the ocean breeze blowing in my hair. I’m holding a cup of coffee and enjoying the scenery.
What’s in your daydream?
